Well, When the "Mouse King" isn't chasing after after Lilli and Jim and I aren't on taxi mode for Jacey, it really is the most wonderful time of the year.............isn't it?
You decide:
Jim knows where ALL the "good" crafts are at Wal-Mart. One night after a what was to be a good joke, he actually returned with everything on the list.
Lilli had me on a wild chase for "Run, Run Rudolph" after she heard it once on the Radio. We found it and now it's ALL we listen to!
Jacey is busy, busy, busy. We went to see Wizard of Oz last week and had the most fun. This child can stay out all night and loves to go, go, go!
And, for the finale, a conversation I had with my hubby, who is evidently full of Christmas spirtit:
Jim: Hey, Did I tell you about those kids I overheard in the dentist's office? Something about this elf they have that just shows up all the time.
Allyson: Oh yeah, that's the "Elf on the Shelf" and you can buy them, kinda like a "you better be good" thing.
Jim: huh?
Allyson: You know, the elf watches you, reports to Santa, just pops up everywhere and all.
Jim: What do you mean, "pops up"................how?
Allyson: It's the most wonderful time of the year, isn't it?????

Indians and Programs
Me: Lilli, tell me about your program at Mrs. Lee and Mrs. Lori's.
Lilli: I sing Jesus Loves the Little Children (she sings the WHOLE song)
Me: I can't wait to come and see it! What else will you do?
Lilli: THE STAGE!
Me: And, you get to be an indian, too?
Lilli: John David wants to be a "program"
Me: what?
Lilli: He wants to be a program. Girls are indians and boys are programs.
ME: HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Playing at the Park at Pickwick
Just getting around to posting the pics of the girls with the Sheltons. Kirk, Jim, and Jordan were fishing while the rest of us did a little playing in good old Iuka! The park there is really nice....Lilli loves to play with Grisham. Jacey and Georgia Kate loved playing with Graham. Georgia Kate asked him if he wanted to go tubing on the boat and he replied, "No, I just go to Harrisburg!" So funny!

Robyn turns 21!
My dear friends and I recently took a girl's trip to Florence to celebrate Robyn's birthday. She isn't 21, neither are we-notice the Pepto. On our way back to the hotel, we stopped by the pharmacy for Pepto and Rolaids. How Lovely! We had a nice time hanging out by the pool. There was a band and I requested they play a little song for Robyn's birthday. I was shocked when "Tupelo Honey" came flowing out of the speakers! I NEVER even told them where we were from. What a nice surprise. We love you Robyn!

Praying for Stellan
Lately, in my life, I have tried (term used lightly) to not let the little things get on my nerves.....You know, people who say things that are hurtful, kids driving me crazy, my husband that makes messes because THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD WITH REAL PROBLEMS!
Imagine that! Broken hearts, hurting marriages, sick children, unhappy hearts......So I, little 'ole me, need to thank God that right now, life is grand. Great Job, Great Boss, Great Coworkers, Super Hubby, Amazing, healthy children........How could I ask for more?
Please go to www.mycharmingkids.net and find some time to pray for this family. They are different, yeah, they are. Aren't you? We are called, as Christians, to share each others burdens. Lift these people up, please.

The world according to Lilli McGraw
Just a few Lillisms...
I want some "Hollywoods"= I want some sunglasses.
"I want to go to the cabinet"=I want to go to the cabin (at Pickwick).
(After pottying), "I get N a M's?"= "M&Ms"
"I don't like baby school (Mother's Day Out)= How come your dropped Jacey off at the other door with music, etc...(VBS)?????
Lilli is truly so smart, she doesn't miss a thing. She knows most of her letters, she can count to twenty, she can spell a few names, and recognizes others. Oh, and she also knows all about the word "stupid." Great. Just great. Now, if I can just teach her to spell it!

Ok, so this is way past due. Jacey invited around 15 friends to celebrate her 10th bday at Pickwick. After threatening a few kids to go to bed (after midnight)- all was well. My best friend, Robyn Shelton braved the weekend with Jim and me. I owe her- BIGTIME!!!! One more thing, I made JB a t-shirt quilt for her birthday. It was a labor of love. I had been working on it since last summer! I really felt domstic- Martha Stewart, eat your heart out honey.

Naples, FL
We had a great time visiting Papa & Gig at their condo in Naples. We flew down with Mimi, EO, and Ned on Sunday. A great time was had by all! We saw the shuttle take off while we were watching the sunset on the beach on Sun. We took a long walk on the preserve to see many gators! (They were just in the "ditch" as we would say). We ate, and ate, and ate tons of great food. The girls loved staying with the grandparents and Jim and I had a relaxing time as well. Iwill finish posting later. There are 2 girls that need me. One has on toooo much perfume and one needs a diaper.
